1 Corinthians 11

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

నేను క్రీస్తులాగా ప్రవర్తిస్తున్న ప్రకారం మీరూ నాలాగా ఉండండి.

Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

మీరు అన్ని విషయాల్లో నన్ను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకుంటూ, నేను మీకు ఉపదేశించిన పద్ధతులను అనుసరిస్తున్నారని మిమ్మల్ని మెచ్చుకొంటున్నాను.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

మీరు తెలుసుకోవలసింది ఏమంటే, పురుషునికి శిరస్సు క్రీస్తు. స్త్రీకి శిరస్సు పురుషుడు. క్రీస్తుకు శిరస్సు దేవుడు.

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.

తన తల కప్పుకుని ప్రార్థన చేసే పురుషుడు తన తలను అవమానపరచినట్టే.

But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

తన తల కప్పుకోకుండా ప్రార్థన చేసే, లేక ప్రవచించే స్త్రీ తన తల అవమానపరచినట్టే. ఎందుకంటే అది ఆమె తల గొరిగించుకున్న దానితో సమానం.

For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

తన తల కప్పుకోని స్త్రీ తన తలవెంట్రుకలు కత్తిరించుకోవాలి. అలా కత్తిరించుకోవడం, లేక పూర్తిగా వెంట్రుకలు తీసివేయడం ఆమెకు అవమానమైతే ఆమె తల కప్పుకోవాలి.

For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

పురుషుడు దేవుని పోలిక, ఆయన మహిమ. కాబట్టి అతడు తన తల కప్పుకోకూడదు. స్త్రీ పురుషుని మహిమ.

For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

అదెలాగంటే, స్త్రీ పురుషుని నుండి కలిగింది గాని పురుషుడు స్త్రీ నుండి కలగలేదు.

Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

స్త్రీని పురుషుని కోసం సృష్టించడం జరిగింది గాని పురుషుణ్ణి స్త్రీ కోసం కాదు.

For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

కాబట్టి దేవదూతల కారణంగా స్త్రీకి తల మీద ఒక అధికార సూచన ఉండాలి.

Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

అయితే ప్రభువులో స్త్రీకి వేరుగా పురుషుడు, పురుషునికి వేరుగా స్త్రీ ఉండరు.

For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

ఏ విధంగా స్త్రీ పురుషుని నుండి కలిగిందో, అలాగే పురుషుడు స్త్రీ మూలంగా కలిగాడు. అయితే సమస్తమూ దేవునినుండే కలుగుతాయి.

Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

మీరే చెప్పండి. స్త్రీ తల కప్పుకోకుండా దేవునికి ప్రార్థన చేయడం సరైనదేనా?

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

పురుషుడు తల వెంట్రుకలు పెంచుకోవడం అతనికి అవమానమని సహజంగా మీకు అనిపించడం లేదా?

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

దేవుడు స్త్రీకి తల వెంట్రుకలు పైటచెంగుగా ఇచ్చాడు కాబట్టి ఆమె వాటిని పెంచుకోవడం ఆమెకు ఘనత అని మీకు స్వతహాగా తెలుసు కదా!

But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

ఈ విషయంలో వేరే వాదనలు చేసేవాడు, మాలో గానీ, దేవుని సంఘంలో గానీ దీనికి వ్యతిరేకంగా వేరొకఅభిప్రాయం లేదని తెలుసుకోవాలి.

Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.

మీకు ఈ క్రింది ఆజ్ఞనిస్తూ మిమ్మల్నేమీ మెచ్చుకోవడం లేదు. ఎందుకంటే మీరు సమావేశం కావడం ఎక్కువ కీడుకే కారణమౌతున్నది గానీ మేలుకు కాదు.

For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

మొదటి సంగతి, మీరు సమావేశమైనప్పుడు మీలో తగాదాలు ఉన్నాయని వింటున్నాను. కొంతమట్టుకు ఇది నిజమే అనిపిస్తుంది.

For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

మీలో నిజంగా యోగ్యులు ఎవరో తెలియాలంటే మీలో భిన్నాభిప్రాయాలు ఉండవలసిందే.

When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord’s supper.

మీరంతా సమావేశమై కలిసి తినేది ప్రభు రాత్రి భోజనం కాదు.

For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

ఎందుకంటే మీరు ఆ భోజనం తినేటప్పుడు ఒకడికంటే ఒకడు ముందుగా తన మట్టుకు తానే తింటున్నాడు. దీనివలన ఒకడు ఆకలితో ఉండగానే ఇంకొకడు బాగా తిని తాగి మత్తులో మునిగిపోతాడు.

What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

ఏమిటిది? తిని తాగడానికి మీకు ఇళ్ళు లేవా? దేవుని సంఘాన్ని చిన్నచూపు చూస్తూ లేని వారిని చిన్నచూపు చూస్తూ? మీతో ఏమి చెప్పాలి? మిమ్మల్ని మెచ్చుకోమంటారా? ఈ విషయంలో మిమ్మల్ని మెచ్చుకోలేను.

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

నేను మీకు అప్పగించిన దాన్ని ప్రభువే నాకు ఇచ్చాడు. ప్రభు యేసు అప్పగించబడిన రాత్రి, ఆయన ఒక రొట్టె చేత పట్టుకున్నాడు.

And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

స్తుతులు చెల్లించిన తరువాత దాన్ని విరిచి, “ఇది మీ కోసమైన నా శరీరం. తీసుకుని తినండి. నా జ్ఞాపకార్థం దీన్ని చేయండి” అని చెప్పాడు.

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

భోజనం చేసిన తరువాత ఆ విధంగానే ఆయన పాత్రను చేత పట్టుకుని, “ఈ పాత్ర నా రక్తం మూలంగా చేసిన కొత్త నిబంధన. మీరు దీన్ని తాగిన ప్రతిసారీ నన్ను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకోడానికి దీన్ని చేయండి” అన్నాడు.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

మీరు ఈ రొట్టెను తిని, ఈ పాత్రలోది తాగిన ప్రతిసారీ ప్రభువు వచ్చేవరకూ ఆయన మరణాన్ని ప్రకటిస్తున్నారు.

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

కాబట్టి ఎవరైతే అయోగ్యమైన విధానంలో ప్రభువు రొట్టెను తిని ఆయన పాత్రలోది తాగుతారో వారు ప్రభువు శరీరం, ఆయన రక్తం విషయంలో అపరాధులు అవుతారు.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

కాబట్టి ప్రతి ఒక్కడూ తనను తాను పరీక్షించుకుని ఆ రొట్టె తిని, ఆ పాత్రలోది తాగాలి.

For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

ఎందుకంటే ప్రభువు శరీరం గురించి సరైన అవగాహన లేకుండా దాన్ని తిని, తాగేవాడు తన మీదికి శిక్ష కొని తెచ్చుకుంటున్నాడు.

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

ఈ కారణం చేతనే మీలో చాలామంది నీరసంగా, అనారోగ్యంగా ఉన్నారు. చాలామంది చనిపోయారు కూడా.

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

అయితే మనలను మనం పరిశీలించుకుంటూ ఉంటే మన పైకి తీర్పు రాదు.

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

మనం తీర్పు పొందినా లోకంతో పాటు శిక్షకు గురి కాకుండా ప్రభువు మనలను శిక్షించి సరిదిద్దుతున్నాడు.

Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.

కాబట్టి నా సోదర సోదరీలారా, మీరు భోజనం చేయడానికి వచ్చినప్పుడు ఒకడి కోసం ఒకడు వేచి ఉండండి.

And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

మీరు ఇలా కలుసుకోవడం మీపై తీర్పు రావడానికి కారణం కాకుండేలా, ఆకలి వేసినవాడు తన ఇంట్లోనే భోజనం చేసి రావాలి. మీరు రాసిన మిగతా సంగతులను నేను మీ దగ్గరకి వచ్చినప్పుడు సరిచేస్తాను.
