Proverbs 2

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

కుమారా, నీవు నా మాటలు అంగీకరించి, నా ఆజ్ఞలను నీ మనసులో ఉంచుకుంటే దేవుణ్ణి గూర్చిన వివేచన నీకు దొరుకుతుంది.

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

జ్ఞానంపై మనసు నిలిపి హృదయపూర్వకంగా వివేచన అభ్యాసం చేసినప్పుడు,

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

తెలివితేటల కోసం మొరపెట్టినప్పుడు, వివేచన కోసం వేడుకొన్నప్పుడు,

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

పోగొట్టుకున్న వెండిని వెతికినట్టు దాన్ని వెదికినప్పుడు, దాచుకున్న ధనం కోసం వెతికినట్టు జ్ఞానాన్ని వెతికినప్పుడు,

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

యెహోవాపట్ల భయభక్తులు కలిగి ఉండడం ఎలా ఉంటుందో నువ్వు గ్రహిస్తావు. దేవుణ్ణి గూర్చిన విజ్ఞానం నీకు దొరుకుతుంది.

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

యెహోవా మాత్రమే జ్ఞానం అనుగ్రహిస్తాడు. తెలివి, వివేచన ఆయన మాటల్లో నిండి ఉంటాయి.

He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

యథార్థవంతులను ఆయన వర్ధిల్లజేస్తాడు. సరియైన మార్గం నుండి తప్పిపోకుండా నడుచుకునే వాళ్ళకు ఆయన రక్షణ కలుగజేస్తాడు.

He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

న్యాయ ప్రవర్తన నుండి తొలగిపోకుండా ఆయన కనిపెట్టుకుని ఉంటాడు. తన భక్తులు మంచి ప్రవర్తనలో కొనసాగేలా ఆయన కావలి కాస్తాడు.

Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

అప్పుడు నీతి, న్యాయం, యథార్థత అనే మంచి మార్గాలు నువ్వు తెలుసుకుంటావు.

Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

తెలివితేటలు నిన్ను కాపాడతాయి. వివేకం నీకు కాపలా కాస్తుంది.

To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;

అది దుష్టులు నడిచే మార్గాల నుండి, మూర్ఖపు మాటలు మాట్లాడే వారి బారి నుండి నిన్ను కాపాడుతుంది.

Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

దుష్టులు చీకటి మార్గాల్లో నడవడం కోసం యథార్థమైన మార్గాలను విడిచిపెడతారు.

Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;

కీడు చేసేవాళ్ళు తమ పనుల వల్ల సంతోషిస్తారు. తీవ్రమైన మూర్ఖత్వంతో ప్రవర్తించే వాళ్ళను చూసి ఆనందిస్తారు.

Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:

తమ దుష్ట మార్గాలగుండా పయనిస్తారు. వాళ్ళు కపటంతో ఉంటారు.

To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;

వ్యభిచారి వలలో పడకుండా, తియ్యగా మాట్లాడి మోసపుచ్చే వేశ్య బారి నుండి జ్ఞానం నిన్ను కాపాడుతుంది.

Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.

అలాంటి స్త్రీ తన యవ్వనకాలంలో తన భర్తను విడిచిపెట్టి తన దేవుని నిబంధన పెడచెవిన పెడుతుంది.

For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.

ఆ స్త్రీ ఇల్లు మరణానికి నడిపిస్తుంది. ఆ స్త్రీ నడిచే మార్గం శవాల దగ్గరికి చేరుతుంది.

None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

ఆ స్త్రీ దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళేవాళ్ళు ఎవ్వరూ వెనక్కి తిరిగిరారు. వాళ్ళు జీవమార్గం చేరుకోలేరు.

That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.

నేను చెప్పే మాటలు విని ఆ విధంగా నడుచుకుంటే నువ్వు యథార్థవంతులు నడిచే మార్గంలో నడుచుకుంటావు. నీతిమంతుల ప్రవర్తన అనుసరిస్తావు.

For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.

నిజాయితీపరులు దేశంలో కాపురం ఉంటారు. సత్యవర్తనులు దేశంలో స్థిరంగా ఉంటారు.

But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

చెడ్డ పనులు చేసేవారు నిర్మూలం అవుతారు. నమ్మకద్రోహులు దేశంలో లేకుండా పోతారు.
