Proverbs 5

My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:

కుమారా, నేను బోధించే జ్ఞానవాక్కులు విను. నా తెలివి గల మాటలు శ్రద్ధగా ఆలకించు.

That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.

అప్పుడు నువ్వు జ్ఞానయుక్తంగా నడుచుకుంటావు. నీ తెలివితేటలను బట్టి నీ నోరు మాట్లాడుతుంది.

But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.

చివరికి ఆమె వసనాభి కాయలాగా ఉంటుంది. రెండంచుల కత్తి వలే ఉంటుంది.

Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

దాని ప్రవర్తన మరణంలో పడిపోవడానికి దారితీస్తుంది. దాని మార్గం సూటిగా పాతాళానికి చేరుస్తుంది.

Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.

జీవమార్గం గురించి వ్యభిచారిణి ఎంతమాత్రం ఆలోచించదు. ఆమె ఎటు వెళ్తుందో ఆమెకే తెలియక అటూ ఇటూ సంచరిస్తుంది.

Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

కుమారులారా, నేను చెప్పే బోధ ఆలకించండి. నేను చెప్పే ఉపదేశం నుండి పక్కకు మళ్ళుకోవద్దు.

Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:

వ్యభిచారిణి నివసించే స్థలాల నుండి నీ అడుగులు దూరం చేసుకో. ఆమె యింటి వాకిలి వైపు పోవద్దు.

Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:

నువ్వు గనుక వ్యభిచారిణి దగ్గరికి వెళ్లిన పక్షంలో నీ ప్రతిష్ట నవ్వుల పాలౌతుంది. నీ జీవిత కాలమంతా దుష్టుల చేతిల్లోకి వెళ్తుంది.

Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;

అన్యులు నీ ఆస్తిని అనుభవిస్తారు. నీ కష్టార్జితమంతా పరుల ఇల్లు చేరుతుంది.

And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

చివరికి నీ కండరాలు, నీ శరీరం క్షీణించిపోతాయి.

And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

అప్పుడు నువ్వు, అయ్యో, ఉపదేశాన్ని నేనెందుకు లక్ష్యపెట్టలేదు? నా మనస్సాక్షి గద్దింపును ఎందుకు తిరస్కరించాను?

And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!

నా బోధకులు చెప్పిన మంచి మాటలు వినలేకపోయాను. నా గురువుల ఉపదేశాలను పట్టించుకోలేదు.

I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.

సమాజంలో నేను అన్ని రకాల కీడులకు దగ్గరగా వచ్చాను, అని నీకు నువ్వు చెప్పుకుంటూ మధనపడతావు.

Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.

నీ ఇంట ఉబికే నీటి ఊటలు బయటికి పారవచ్చా? అవి కాలువల్లాగా వీధుల్లో ప్రవహించవచ్చా?

Let them be only thine own, and not strangers’ with thee.

పరాయి వ్యక్తులు నీతోబాటు వాటిని అనుభవించకూడదు. ఆ నీరు నీ కోసమే ఉండాలి గదా.

Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

నీ జలాశయం దీవెనలు పొందుతుంది. నీ యవ్వన కాలంలో పెళ్ళాడిన నీ భార్యతో సంతోషించు.

Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.

ఆమె నీకు రమణీయమైన లేడి వంటిది. అందమైన దుప్పిలాంటిది. ఆమె రొమ్ములు నీకు ఎల్లప్పుడూ తృప్తి కలిగించనియ్యి. ఆమె ప్రేమకు బద్ధుడివై చిరకాలం జీవించు.

And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

కుమారా, నువ్వు ఎందుకు వ్యభిచారిణి వలలో పడిపోయి ఉంటావు? ఆమె రొమ్మును ఎందుకు కౌగలించుకుంటావు?

For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.

మనుషుల ప్రవర్తన యెహోవాకు తెలుసు. వారి నడతలన్నిటినీ ఆయన గుర్తిస్తాడు.

He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

అలాంటివాడు క్రమశిక్షణ లేకపోవడం వల్ల పరమ మూర్ఖుడై దారి తప్పి నాశనానికి గురౌతాడు.
